How does ActivePure® work?
In nature, when sunlight hits water vapor, it produces reactive, oxygen-based molecules; these molecules bind with viruses, bacteria, mold spores, and unwanted gases—inactivating them at the molecular level. ActivePure® makes use of five nature-based processes to produce this natural process but indoors:
- Sunlight - for germicidal UV light
- Rain and thunderstorms - to generate ionization
- Lightning - to produce activated oxygen
- Photocatalysis - for hydro peroxides and oxide ions
- Wind - to distribute these properties into the environment
By reproducing these natural outdoor processes, ActivePure® Technology creates these same air-scrubbing particles and distributes them throughout the room (1) where they pull apart bacteria, viruses, mold spores, and volatile organic compounds in the air, as well as reduce bacteria, viruses, and mold spores on surfaces (2).
